Quit making DEPRESSION a Big Deal.... (The CURE)

The more you make anything a big deal, the more strength and power it gains over you.  The more you believe your depression is more powerful than you are, the more power your depression has over you. I was diagnosed  as clinically and chronically depressed.  I did the whole trip, therapy and pills and the more I followed the traditional route, looking for a cure, the worse my depression got for me UNTIL I quit making a big deal out of my depression...   



I did that by becoming the OBSERVER of my depression rather than the STORY TELLER of my depression.  I made depression disappear from my life by taking back the power I had given depression to depress me.   If you want to know how I made depression completely disappear from my life take my Self-Love Thought Mastery Program. If you suffer from depression you know the pain you feel and you know how depression sucks all the joy and happiness out of your life and makes you feel like you are flawed or defective in some way.  That's the way it was for me until I became the OBSERVER of my depression. In becoming the 'observer' of my depression, a new way of thinking came over me that set me free of depression and allowed me to feel good, no matter what.  As a result of becoming depression free I started writing a twice monthly newsletter sharing with others what I know about making depression disappear from their lives.   

I understand depressed people better than most.  Suffering from depression is bad enough but their are many other things we suffer from when we are depressed. We suffer from a lack of confidence. We experience a lack of love in our life and experience incredible loneliness. We are full of self doubt and feel insecure a lot of the time. We feel we have to hide our depression from others.  

In addition, we experienced being judged and criticized by others more than most. Depressed people are hyper sensitive. As a result, we easily pick up on other people's negative emotions which only makes us feel more depressed.  Often times we feel suicidal, not because we want to end our life but because we want the pain of our loneliness, separation and shame to end.  

As a former depressed person, I know depressed people have a hard time making decisions. They have a harder time taking action and because they have been disappointed so many times in finding a cure for their depression, they are a very skeptical bunch of people.  These are my kind of people because I have been where they are at. I understand what they are going through and I understand what it takes to become depression free. I also know depressed people can't quit being depressed until they create a new personality for themselves. A personality that reflects the best side of themselves, the most expressive side of themselves that dissolves, for all time, the depressed side of their personality.

You are being MANIPULATED out of your money and Don't Know it.

In 99% of the cases, the donations you make to a cause are not 'free will' donations, they are manipulated out of you by someone who understands the moment they can make you feel like the victim feels or can make you feel like you could be that kind of victim someday, you will donate money to their cause.  In other words, they use your emotions against you without you being aware of it. They use your emotions to separate you from your money.  This is called 'emotional manipulation'

This practice of emotionally manipulating money out of you is not uncommon. Many people who want your money, whether it is for a 'cause' or to get you to buy a retail product, will use your emotions without your permission to get you to do what they want you to do because they want you to do it, which is spending money on their cause, product or service.  

Making emotional financial decisions is the #1 reason why people have financial problems. Look at your life and you will see that if you didn't spend money emotionally, you would be financially prosperous today.

The #1 thing that causes physical and emotional pain is lying to yourself about 'what is' negative in your life. It could be failure, disappointment, hurt, a lost job, lost money, lost love.  It could be depression or unrelenting stress. Denying the pain in your life causes it to fester and grow in size and power until it manifest itself physically. Lying to yourself about the pain in your life increases the pain in your life. Embracing the pain in your life, makes the pain disappear from you life.

WARNING ABOUT PAIN

Pain is only pain until you label it and if you label it cancer, heart disease, arthritis, then for you, you are contributing to your pain becoming what you label it to be...  Do I have any objective proof that what I just shared with you is true? Not a shred, only my subjective experience, over many years, that pain unlabeled will move, shift and eventually disappear from the physical body. 

Pain labeled, on the other hand, becomes stationary, fixed, unmovable, permanent, terminal, final or fatal unless it is cut out of you by a surgeon....and then if you don't change the way you think, chances are, you will create the pain again that will create the condition again..

All things in our lives are first created mentally, then physically. We either create things in our life by ourselves or we co-create things in our life with the help of others

When it comes to pain, what kind of fixed pain are you creating for yourself?  What kind of fixed pain are you co-creating with the help of others such as the medical profession or the drug companies?

Pain is ENERGY in your body. When it is trapped and not moving, it is becoming a physical condition. When it is moving, it is working for you, it is healing your body and eventually it will disappear from view.


I experienced a lot of physical and emotional pain in my early life as a result of negative events that happened to me outside my control. The pain from those events could have turned into physical disease but it didn't. Instead, I used the pain life threw my way to motivate myself to find a new way of thinking, a way of thinking that would allow me to turn my pain into unbridled happiness and joy.

The Cure for UGLY Feelings

There are many feelings we do not like but that does not stop us from having them. From time to time, everyone I know feels hopeless or depressed

The range of feelings we do not like to experience include anger and hatred along with feeling defeated, helpless, anxious, powerless, even suicidal.  

Here's the thing, as bad as those feelings feel, they are just feelings. Feelings we can change any time we want by changing how we think.


If you feel powerless, that doesn't mean you are powerless.  It's only a feeling that changes the moment you change your thoughts. Negative feelings have no power over you whatsoever, they just feel like they do. Your feelings make things 'seem real to you' so when you feel depressed, hopeless or suicidal you feel as if that is the God awful truth about your life. However, what you feel is a very small part of your truth.  

The rest of the truth is, all thoughts have consequences and the first place you FEEL the consequences of your thoughts is in your body. Don't like what you are feelings, change your thoughts. When you change your thoughts, your feelings change too. The moment your feelings begin to change, the circumstances of your life begin changing too, for the better.

A WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT FEELINGS

Ugly feelings will grow like cancer if you allow yourself to believe you are powerless to change how you feel.  Regardless of circumstances, regardless of how bad circumstances can make you feel, you can change what you feel by changing your thoughts.

If you resist negative feelings, if you fight with them, argue with them, those feelings will intensify.  Any feeling you resist grows in strength and power over you. If you continue to resist it, over time, it will take control of your personality and control your life.

In my early years, I experienced very ugly feelings as a result of two of my children dying unexpectedly, one from an undiscovered birth defect and the other one due to medical negligence. The ugly feelings I experienced could have made me give up on life. They could have caused me to commit suicide but I didn't. Instead, I used what life threw my way to motivate myself to find a new way of thinking, a way of thinking that would allow me to turn my grief into unbridled happiness and joy. 

I found that new way of thinking and with it I created a life for myself full of joy, inspiration, happiness and success and you can too. Everything I have learned about 'feeling good, no matter what' is now available to you in my twice monthly newsletter by the same name.

I have a groove in my head from all the years of people criticizing me for being different than them that says, repeatedly, outside my conscious control, that I'm bad, I am no good. 

Those painful thoughts live in my subconscious mind, a part of a permanent record of all that has happened to me.  What I experienced, in the past, I cannot change and I cannot erase those thoughts from my memory. 

I cannot even stop those memories from replaying themselves because people and events in my life, from time to time, inadvertently push my buttons that trigger those memories.


I used to resist listening to my subconscious mind replaying thoughts saying 'I'm Bad and I'm No Good'.  I resisted those thoughts with every bit of strength I had. The problems was, the more I resisted those thoughts the louder they got and the more power they had over my life to make me feel miserable...

I have been called everything from being selfish to being an emotional cripple and those are some of the kindest things people said to me.  I have no idea why people got off on insulting me but they don't insult me any longer because their insults and criticisms made me grow strong on the inside.... 

Instead of letting those thoughts make me feel bad, I used those thoughts to motivate me to write articles that would inspire and encourage people who have been criticized and put down like I was. I used those negative thoughts to find the positive side of every negative thing that has ever happened to me.
 
In my early years, life was tough on me. Two of my children died unexpectedly, I went bankrupt twice and ended up divorced two times. I could have quit, given up. I could have even committed suicide but I didn't. Instead, I used what life threw my way to motivate myself to find a new way of thinking, a way of thinking that would make my attitude bulletproof.  

I found that new way of thinking and with it I created a life for myself full of joy, inspiration, happiness and success rather than continuing to live in fear, doubt and dread.... and you can too

Giving up Fear, Doubt and Worry

There are real fears that keep you physically safe and their are imagined fears that rob you of your power and take your peace of mind away from you. The problem is, most people don't know the difference between real or imagined fears and because they do not, they unwittingly become ADDICTED to fear in some form.



A LIST OF THE POSSIBLE FORMS OF FEAR YOU COULD BE ADDICTED TO. 

Worry, anxiety, depression, anger, shyness, despair, hopelessness, agitation, angst, anxiety, aversion, chickenheartedness, cold feet, cold sweat, concern, consternation, cowardice, creeps, despair, discomposure, dismay, disquietude, distress, doubt, dread, faintheartedness, foreboding, fright, funk, horror, jitters, misgiving, nightmare, panic, phobia, presentiment, qualm, revulsion, scare, suspicion, terror, timidity, trembling, tremor, trepidation, unease, uneasiness, stress.


You weren't born addicted to fear, you were programmed to be addicted to fear and the longer you live, the more fearful you will become unless you put a stop to it now. When you were younger, you weren't addicted to fear, you were addicted to resisting or rebelling against fear.  Think back to all the times you wanted to do things your parents didn't want you to do.  Here are some examples

They didn't want you to stay out late. They didn't want you to hang out with this person or that person. They didn't want you going to this place or that place.  They warned you about taking drugs. They warned you against the evils of drinking, smoking and sex outside of marriage, etc.

Your parents told you all of the don't of life because they were trying to keep you safe. Unfortunately in trying to keep you safe they unwittingly programmed you with their fears rather than having you focus your attention on the things that made you feel good. So when you got into your rebellious stage, you weren't rebelling against your parents so much as you were rebelling against all of their fear-based instructions.  

Why did you rebel with so much passion? The answer is simple, fear doesn't feel good.  It separates you from yourself, it makes you of two minds, one fear-driven, one love-driven. The problem with resisting or rebelling against fear is that you are doing the very thing that, in the end, will make you hopelessly addicted to fear UNLESS you take a stand and make a major attitude change now.

In order to break your addiction to fear, it requires that you become committed to trusting your good feelings more than your bad ones. Trusting your positive feelings more than your negative ones.  Trusting your hopeful feelings more than your fearful feelings.  Trusting your confident feelings more than your worrisome ones. Trusting your secure feelings more than your doubtful ones.

Positive feelings means you are thinking thoughts that are guiding you to what you want. Negative feelings means you are thinking thoughts that are guiding you away from what you want. Your feelings are your most valuable asset, properly understood, your feelings will guide you in creating a heaven on earth for yourself.  However if you ignore your feelings or misunderstand them, you will create a hell on earth for yourself full of drama, misunderstandings and unintentional hurts and disappointments.

The UGLY Truth About Your Feelings


The truth is not always pretty, sometimes it is downright ugly. This could be one of those times for you. The ugly truth about feelings is that people are so afraid of their feelings that they are medicating, sedating and numbing them with pills, booze, food and prescription drugs in record numbers.  One rarely mentioned ugly fact is that people who go ballistic killing innocent people for no reason at all, or commit suicide, do so as a result of some drug they are on. Drugs disconnect people from the 'inner guidance system' they were born with, a guidance system that is just as real as the heart that pumps blood through your veins. 

Your feelings are your 'inner guidance system'.  They tell you when you are moving in the direction of what  you want (dreams, desires) and when you are moving away from what you want.  However when you medicate, sedate or numb your feelings, you cuts yourself off from the very 'internal mechanism' that can save your life and make all of your dreams come true with a minimum amount of effort.

Good feelings means you are thinking thoughts and taking actions that are moving you towards your dreams and desires. Negative feelings means you are thinking thoughts and taking actions that are moving you away from your dreams and desires.  However, when you medicate and sedate your feelings, you create 'static' inside your 'inner guidance system' that results in you not accurately being able to understand the messages of guidance and advice your negative feelings are sending your way..

You always 'feel a negative feeling' for a good reason. The moment you discover what the good reason is, the negative feeling vanishes. Your feelings, properly understood, will make you healthy, wealthy and wise.

Everything you have in life, no exception, is the result of your thoughts. Your thoughts caused you to make the choices you made that created, for better or worse, the circumstances you have.

The problem with the immense power found within your thoughts is that you have taken your thoughts for granted for so long you don't realize your life, your circumstances, and the people you allow to be in your life are a result of the choices you made based on your thoughts.

Thoughts are more powerful than the ATOMIC BOMB for it was from thought the atomic bomb was created. All acts of good and evil comes from man's thoughts. Violence starts with a thought. Abuse starts with a thought. A terrorists act starts with a thought and if those thoughts are not countered with more powerful thoughts, those evil thoughts have the power to destroy you and the world in which you live.

Take Charge of Your Emotional Health.

We experience life through our emotions and feelings.  Everything that happens to us impacts how we feel and how we feel impacts our health. Contrary to what many people believe, feelings and emotions are not some mystery to be endured, they are our most valuable asset to be explored and understood.  

The short and sweet of it is this; feelings are our 'internal guidance system'.  Good feelings means we are thinking thoughts and taking actions that are moving us towards what we want. Bad feelings means we are thinking thoughts and taking actions that are moving us away from what we want.  

One of the biggest problems people have with their feelings is that, often times, their 'emotional system' gets so overwhelmed by people, events and circumstances that they don't know what to make of what they feel. When you feel overwhelmed, confused or in heavy doubt, that means your 'inner guidance system' is not working properly. And much like the hard drive on your computer when it is not working properly, you have to reboot your feelings to get your emotional system in good working order again.

During my growing up years since the people in my life rarely talked about feelings and emotions, I was left on my own to figure out what all of my feelings meant, especially the negative ones.  What I discovered is that most people didn't understand their negative feelings. In fact, most people were afraid of their negative feelings. As a result they would numb, medicate and sedate their feelings with pills, booze, food or prescription drugs.  They would do this rather than take the time to understand why they felt the way they did.  And because people weren't taking the time to understand their feelings, people were overdosing on drugs, commiting suicide, or taking the lives of others in record numbers.

As a result of observing how people treated their own feelings and not liking the price they were paying to medicate and sedate their feelings, over time, I became a self made expert on feelings and emotions. 

As a result of the knowledge I acquired over the years,  my Feeling Good, No Matter What, Newsletter was born.  My newsletter is for people who want to better understand the part their feelings play in regards to their infallible inner guidance system. My newsletter is for people who no longer wish to be depressed.  It is for people who wish to eliminate fear and doubt from their lives. It is for people who want to heal the hurt, humiliation and shame they experienced as a child. Finally, my newsletter is for people who want to supercharge their attitude and re-ignite the fire and passion within them that makes living life the grand adventure it is meant to be..

They can't bully me any more...


I was a chubby little kid by the time I entered high school, I only stood 4' 11" and weighed 180 lbs.   As a freshman in high school I was intimidated by the taller kids, in my class, already growing beards and mustaches..  I was a late bloomer and I still very much had a baby face.  When I went to school, back when, they didn't call it bullying, they called it teasing but it hurt just as much.  I was handling the teasing of being fat and having a baby face okay until I went to my first Phys-Ed  class.

For the class, we all got dressed up in gray sweats and climbed into a boxing ring.  The teacher had us line up along the edge of the ring and made us introduce ourselves. When the teacher got to me, he stared at me with hatred and contempt for reasons I cannot explain.  Finally he asked me my name. I announced my name was Frederick Zappone. After pausing and looking me up and down with a very critical eye,  he finally spoke.

'Zappone you look more like a Bubble so from now on I am going to call you Bubbles Zappone.' 

In an instant my classmates burst into laughter and starting calling me bubbles while pointing accusing fingers at me.  My face turned crimson red. I was not only embarrassed I felt rage in every cell of my body...  As blood rushed to my face, I felt a very real and very strong urge to kill, an urge I never felt before.  I wanted to kill the teacher for humiliating and shaming me in front of my classmates and at the same time I want to run as far and as fast as I could from that class and never return but I couldn't.

I never before felt such violent feelings inside me. Those violent feelings scared me half to death. I felt like an evil, worthless child. I was confused, scared, frightened and worst of all.....all alone.

I didn't know what to do, mostly I wanted to get away from the feelings of violence and hatred inside of me. Those feelings left me standing there, in front of my classmates, trembling uncontrollably like a leaf in the wind with tears streaming down my cheeks, making me feel even more shame than I felt before.

I sucked it up and endured the teasing and taunting and tried to laugh my way through it but the damage inside had been done.  No one could see me bleeding on the inside, no one could feel how small I felt, no one could feel how evil I felt. And no one could be more frightened and scared as I was on that day, feeling the rage and the very real desire to murder my teacher in cold blood.

The longest school day of my life finally ended and I headed home. When I got home I was so ashamed and embarrassed by what happened I couldn't bring myself to tell my parents about it.  And besides I was afraid if I did tell my parents they would go to the school and talk to the Principal and embarrass me even more so I quietly cried myself to sleep that night and many more nights after that.  

As it turned out, that humiliating experience in Phys. Ed. class  would become my greatest strength.  It put me on the path to exploring and understanding my feelings so no one,  under any circumstances, could ever hurt me as badly as I had been hurt that day.

Over time, I became a self made expert on feelings and emotions. As a result of the knowledge I acquired over the years,  my Feeling Good, No Matter What, Newsletter was born.  My newsletter isn't for everyone.  It is for highly sensitive people who get hurt easier than they would like to admit. It is for depressed people who no longer wish to be depressed.  It is for people who wish to eliminate fear and doubt from their lives. It is for people who want to cure the hurt, humiliation and shame they endured as a child.
