How many times has someone told you not to take something personally? When you get fired from your job and they say it's not personal, we are cutting back, who are they kidding!
Getting fired from a job is a very personal experience. What they are really saying is; don't be real, don't be human, don't be upset because you won't be able to pay your bills, just clear out your desk and deal with it yourself for I could care less what happens to you. Does that sound about right to you?
