De-Stress Quickly with Baby Lullabyes

.
As the father of five and grandfather of fourteen, my children and grandchildren, by observation, have always been my spiritual teachers. I remembered the soothing quality lullabies always had on me when I played them for my children. A couple of weeks ago, I was stressed out more than I like to me so I downloaded 50 lullabies. As I started listening to them everything about me (mind, body and soul) start calming down. My mind was flooded with warm memories of my own childhood plus the warm memories of playing lullabies for my children and grandchildren. This method of de-stressing myself is certainly cheaper than a doctor's visit and a lot safer than taking pill or prescription meds. Try it, it might work as well for you too.

The funniest lullaby my kids loved and the one I love too is: 'The Old Lady Who Swallowed The Fly." God only know why little children love this one, my grandchildren love it too, because if you listen to the lyrics, they make no sense and could scare you half to death: Here are the lyrics.

The Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly - Lyrics

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly.
I dunno why she swallowed that fly,
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider,
That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird;
How absurd, to swallow a bird!
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat.
Imagine that, she swallowed a cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a dog.
What a hog! To swallow a dog!
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat...
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a goat.
Just opened her throat and swallowed a goat!
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog ...
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wiggled and wiggled and tickled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cow.
I don't know how she swallowed a cow!
She swallowed the cow to catch the goat...
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog...

There was an old lady who swallowed a horse -
She's dead, of course.
