There is a contest going on between Ashton Kutcher and CNN in regards to who can be the first to have a 1,000,000 followers on Twitter. This contest is not so much about Ashton Kutcher as it is about the individual having as much power and influence as the mainstream media has.

What's more significant about this contest is that followers of individuals like Ashton Kutcher, follow people like him out of choice as opposed to turning the TV on and having the mainstream media's point of view crammed down our throats.
