Source of our Problems

Recently, I asked my Spiritual Guide Angela what is the "Source" of all the problems in our lives. Here is what she had to say:

SOURCE OF PROBLEMS

The source of all the problems in your life are your very own thoughts and the judgments you make about them. Once you judge a thought of yours to be "the truth", you turn it into a law for yourself.

Once you turn a thought into law for yourself, from that point on you will only accept evidence that supports the law you made for yourself.

That's why people who have made "the judgment" that the Bible is the word of God only accept evidence that supports their judgment. While people who "do not believe" the Bible is the word of God only accept evidence that supports their judgment.

Same Bible, two different conclusions based on the "laws" people have made for themselves that allow them to accept or reject the Bible as the word of God.

Whatever judgments you make about your thoughts always come true for you. Your judgments become the "laws" you use to rule your life.

Judgments are the way people create self-fulfilling prophecies for themselves.

If you judge you are powerless, you will turn it into a law for yourself and only accept evidence that validates that you are.

If you judge you are not good enough, you will turn it into a law for yourself and only accept evidence supporting that thought.

If you judge you are not smart enough, you will turn that thought into a law for yourself and only accept evidence that proves that you are not smart enough.

Once you judge a thought of yours to be "the truth", you will dismiss or discard any evidence presented to you that contradicts your "truth."
Additionally, any evidence that contradicts your "truth" will make you feel insecure and you will feel a need to defend your "truth".

"The truth stands of its own merits and never needs
defended. If it does, it wasn't the truth in the first place."
