A Word About the Gratitude Habit.

.

Habits have consequences. Good habits will take you down the road to all the things you want while bad habits will take you away from the things you want. In the beginning new habits of thoughts and/or action take effort and struggle until they become automatic habits. You struggled to learn to read and write but today you read and write effortlessly. You struggled to learn how to walk, swim and ride a bike. Today you do those things effortlessly. You will struggle to express gratitude but once it becomes an automatic habit of thought, expressing gratitude will be effortless for you. And the MIRACLES that will come into your life as a result of expressing gratitude will move you to tears and take your breath away. That's my guarantee to you.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

How do you feel when people express gratitude towards you?
How do you feel when people express ingratitude towards you?
What do you want to do for people who express gratitude towards you?
What do you want to do to people who express ingratitude towards you?

NOTE: Expressing gratitude towards God, the Universe or another person only works if it is genuinely and sincere. Expressing gratitude as a way to try to manipulate God, the Universe or another person never works. It it will only create bad karma for you.

The Habit of Gratitude...

.
A 'habit of thought' is nothing more than thoughts we repeat to ourselves over and over again until they became thoughts that run, on automatic pilot, in the background of our mind. Those thoughts require no conscious effort on our part. Unfortunately, many people have negative thoughts running in the background of their mind that torment and trouble them daily.  Thinking about those negative thoughts, resisting them, arguing with them or fighting them only makes them stronger. The only way to to dissolve negative habitual thoughts is to record over them with the positive thoughts until they become habitual.  The fastest way to change negative 'habitual thoughts patterns' into positive ones  is to start each day by listing 100 things, large or small, that you are personally and sincerely grateful for..  The more grateful I become, the more convinced I am that expressing gratitude is the MIRACLE cure for whatever ails us. It doesn't  matter if it is a physical illness, a lack of money or a bad relationship,  the gratitude practice is producing miracles in people's lives for no logical reason I can explain.
