The real tragedy about the Haitian earthquake is that it takes a tragedy to bring the best out in us (though, according to reports from Haiti, not all of us) and when the tragedy passes people revert back to being selfish people who don't think twice about hurting other people with their unkind words and actions. That's the real tragedy of life. Is it possible God ALLOWS tragedy to happen as a way to wake us up to our selfish ways of living a life of more, more, more rather than sharing our hearts and good fortune with others less fortunate than ourselves every day of our life?

I couldn't agree more! But what about the poor people in this great land of ours??? We need to rebuild the American Dream in all people and start taking care of OUR Problems!! It is just very sad how selfish our government is!!!!

im a pilipino a september 29 2009 typhoon ondoy victim hit my dreams and life out on my control in a single day and believing this is not a gods way to punishing all my country men in if he touch me more personally i found god protecting all of us more and more.......
