Changing your Life FAST, excerpted from: The Secret Daily Teachings
In keeping with the author's suggestion, I am going to list 100 things I am grateful for. Please feel free to add your own list in the comment section of this message. 100 things sounds like a lot and it is. It takes a little work but it is worth it because when you are finished listing hundred things you feel grateful for, you will feel like a million bucks.
1. I am grateful for the yucky feelings associated with feeling ungrateful for they ALERT me to get my mind back into the 'gratitude groove'.
2. I am grateful for the things I don't like because they serve as an ALERT SIGNAL to focus my attention on the things I do like because when my attention is focused on what I do like, I feel GREAT!
3. I am grateful for the emotional pain I feel in my body because it is a SIGN that I am living in the past rather than the 'here and now' where my happiness lives.
4. I am grateful I am still alive and have another chance to get things right.
5. I am grateful for the negative feelings I feel because they remind me that continuing to feel negative will only make me feel worse. That reminder inspires me to take actions and think thoughts that make me feel better.
6. I am grateful for the letters, donations and comments I receive from people because their 'acts of kindness' encourage me to continue to share my insights and inspirational writings, with all who want them, free of charge.
7. I am grateful when people shares my insights and writings with others.
8. I am grateful that I have the ability to heal people and make their lives easier.
9. I am grateful for my taste buds that allow me to enjoy the foods I eat.
10. I am grateful for chocolate in all shapes and forms.
11. I am grateful for all things that taste sweet and for foods that spice up my life.
12. I am grateful for how kind people treat me. And even though I am not a precious jewel by any stretch of my imagination, I a grateful for the handful of people in my life who treat me like a precious jewel. What a delicious feeling that is.
13. I am grateful for you, YES you, the person reading these words because you as the reader of what I write completes me. Thank you.
14. I am grateful that I take no medications excepts for an ocassional aspirin.
15. I am grateful for the healing power of herbs.
16. I am grateful for my highly developed, reliable and trustworthy intuition.
17. I am grateful for the people who ask me to be their life coach.
18. I am grateful that my body and mind work as gracefully as a 20 year old even though I am 67.
19. I am grateful for all my life experiences, especially the bad and sad ones because they have made me kind, sensitive and wise towards all people who come into my life no matter how different they may be than myself.
20 I am grateful for my struggles around money because my struggles have taught me that making a lot of money requires no struggle at all.
21. I am grateful for my fingers and toes that I often take for granted because without them I could not walk easily or type fastly.
22. I am grateful that God, the source energy of my life, beats my heart and make the air move in and out of my lungs without any effort at all.
23. I am grateful for my massive insecurities for they makes me sensitive to the insecurities of others.
24. I am grateful for the gifts of ' life insights and wisdom' that flow through me that I am able to share with others. I am grateful to be a channel for an intelligence greater than myself and to feel that connection when I am sharing life changing information with others.
25. I am grateful for the generous hearted people in my life who share their good fortune with me.
26. I grateful that I can walk up steep hills without losing my breath. I am also grateful that I can poop effortlessly, can you? :)
27. I am grateful for my wacky sense of humor that makes my friends laugh and smile a lot.
28. I am grateful for Betty White for being my inspiration about how my life can be at her age, 88.
29. I am grateful for sunsets, sunrises and all of nature in between.
30. I am grateful that I am running out of things to be grateful for because it shows me I need to focus more of my attention on being grateful and less attention on whining and belly aching when things don't go my way.
31. I am grateful for music.... I am so grateful for music because I can always find a music selection to lift me up when I feel down. I am grateful for the music in the movie Mamma Mia. That sound track touches all of my emotions and softens me when I am feeling hard.
32. I am grateful for the thoughts I have when I think of meeting people who like my writings. The thoughts of meeting, greeting, thanking and hugging them for being my audience makes my life a joy filled with contentment, satisfaction and happiness to overflowing.

34. I am grateful for my dog PJ. Before PJ I never knew what unconditional love was.
35. I am grateful for Vona, after too many failed relationships, the universe led me to the perfect relationship for me. It has been seven years and we love each other more now than we did when we first met. And that's saying something considering we know every quirk about each that droves our former partners crazy but make us love each other even more. Without Vona in my life I would be dead now rather than grateful. Making Vona happy because I don't have to is a great joy in my life. She never expects a thing from me which frees me up to give her many unexpected good things unexpectedly. She is not the youngest or thinnest woman but in my eyes she is just right. I love her eyes, the endless windows to her soul..
36. I am grateful for all the money I had, for the money I have and for the money I will have.
37. I am grateful that 11 years ago I made the decision to eliminate all debt from my life and today I am very grateful that I live debt free, what a glorious feeling of freedom that is..
38. I am grateful for this 'gratitude exercise' because it is causing me to form 'new pathways in my brain' so my ability to be grateful daily will become easier and easier.
39. I am especially grateful for the GRATITUDE FEELING. The gratitude feeling feels 'life giving' and expansive. The feeling make me feel carefree and lighthearted.

41. I am grateful that my body feels as good as it does because even though it's not feeling a great as I would like it to, I know it could feel a whole lot worse and that's why I am grateful for how it feels right now.

44. I am grateful that my dental surgery went well this week even thought the needle stung like a bumble bee.

46. I am grateful for my ability to see and hear. I am grateful for my ability to taste and touch things. And I am grateful for my ability to LICK the fudge off a hot fudge sundae.
47. I am grateful for my ability to smile. I am grateful for my ability to make people feel better about themselves than they did the moment before.
48. I am grateful for all the good lessons of loving and caring my mom and dad taught me.
49. I am grateful for my 5 children and 14 grandchildren.
50. I am grateful God invented Sex.

55. I am grateful for my Dad teaching me how to ride a bike, bowl, hunt and make things with tools.
56. I am grateful for my mother's exercising her iron will, on me, so I would become the best person I could become even if that required her making me eat soap from time to time because of my potty mouth.
57. I am grateful for my zany and outrageous sense of humor.
58. I am grateful for candy for it makes me feel sweet when I am sour.
59. I am grateful for greedy people because they remind me of what I don't want to become.
60. I am grateful for all the trips I have taken and the places I have visited. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to live in Australia and Germany for awhile. I am grateful for my cruises to Nova Scotia.
61. I am grateful for the courage I had to bungee jump. That is one memory that thrills me every time I think about it..
62. I am grateful that I grew up in the United States during the 'Happy Days' era and that my best friend during that time is still my best friend today.
63. I am grateful for all the money making opportunities I have had and for all the money I have made, spent and lost.
64. I am grateful for my health.
65. I am grateful for incredible variety of plants and flowers God created for me to enjoy.
66. I am grateful that on my first try I have arrived at 66 things I am grateful for....
67. I am grateful that I discovered the practice of gratitude.

72. I am grateful for the many mentors in my life from Monty Blum to Alan Sager and many people in between including Leo Miller, George Jaidar, and Barry Kaufman to name a few.
73. I am grateful for my son John who was with me for a short 18 months and my daughter Beth who passed away, unexpectedly, at age 30. She left me four granddaughter and 30 years worth of warm and fun loving memories. I am grateful that thought it will be 11 years in June since she passed over to the other side, I still feel her 'loving presence' with me.
74. I am grateful for my children who are still with me, Dan, Chris and Lauren and the beautiful grandchildren they have given me.
75. I am grateful for the nice neighborhood in which I live and the friendly people who live around me.
76. I am grateful for the people who visit my blog daily and weekly.
77. I am grateful when I hear the difference I have made in my reader's lives.
78. I am grateful to be of service to people.
79. I am grateful for the material things I have. I appreciate them and do not take them for granted. I am grateful for the skilled people who created the material things I own.
80. I am grateful for the people who spread 'fear and doubt' because they are constantly reminder to me that 'love and light' is more powerful than 'fear and doubt' will ever be.
81. I am grateful for the food on my table and that I have a safe and clean place to sleep every night.
82. I am grateful when I can help others out even if it is only a dollar or two.
83. I am grateful for the periods in my life when I suffered emotionally because it made me grow spiritually and made me care about ending the suffering of others and bringing comfort to them when I can.
84. I am grateful that I am alive.
85. I am grateful for hamburgers, hot dogs and football.
86. I am grateful for the Robin who is building an nest in the transom window of my back door. I take it as a sign of good luck.
87. I am grateful for all the lucky breaks and unexpected good fortune I have experienced in my life.
88. I am grateful for the ability to forgive myself and others for the mistakes we made and the bad things we did to each other when we weren't thinking clearly.
89. I am grateful for all the women in my life who helped me grow up and become the man I am today.
90. I am grateful for my Dad always believing in me especially those times when I didn't believe in myself.
91. I am grateful my Dad lived to a ripe old age of 94 and was fortunate to die of natural causes instead of some horrible disease.
92. I am grateful for Aldi's, a new place I shop at that has some of the best food items at the best prices I have ever found.
93. I am grateful for jalpeno's and hot sauce, boy does that make my body come alive...
94. I am grateful for Margaritas and Tequila.
95. I am grateful for 'Five Guys,' the best hamburgers I have ever had.
96. I am grateful for the highway system that makes traveling to Texas and back a delight..
97. I am grateful that in spite of the negative news about people as reported by the media, 98% of the people are as good as gold.
98. I am grateful for my ability to sleep peacefully.
99. I am grateful for my ability focus my attention on things that make me feel good and dismiss things from my mind that feel bad.
100. I am grateful that I have completed my first list of 100 things to be grateful for.

I am grateful, even though I am so negative that I live in the dark, that Fredrick's writing offer glimses of sunlight splitting the darkeness....

ReplyDeleteI find by focusing my attention on even a 'sliver of LIGHT'( my own or others) that it causes the light within me to grow larger which results in the darkness to grow smaller effortlessly.
