Your 'inner bully' is the critical and judgmental part of you that beats you up and makes you wrong for whatever it is you want to think about or do. It's job is to stop you from being you. It wants to be the boss of you.
Your 'inner bully' represents the collective voices of all the people who were the boss of you during your growing up years. It gets your attention and controls you by hurting your emotionally and physically. It is the source of disease in your life. It also has the power to prevent you from healing yourself of even the most serious of illnesses. For those reasons it is important to face your 'inner bully' head on and stand up to it. If you don't, it will taunt and torment you for the rest of your life.
Many self-help teachings insist that you must focus on the positive to make positive things happen in your life. And while that is true to a point, if you have an highly abusive 'inner bully' in your face, day in and day out, it will be practically impossible to focus on anything positive for a sustained period of time before your 'inner bully' wears you down.
Your 'inner bully' like all bullies wants your attention and until you pay attention to your inner bully it will cause you nothing but pain, conflict, misery and confusion. However once you pay attention to your 'inner bully' and face it head on, it will lose all power to harm you in any way,
Your 'inner bully' represents all of those parts of yourself that you have rejected because you have falsely believed that parts of you were bad, flawed or defective in some way.
Your 'inner bully' represents a very hurt and abused little child that you need to love and embrace with all of your heart. Once your embrace your 'inner bully' (a.k.a. the dark side of your personality), you will be able to live in peace and harmony with it. Once you're able to do that, it will no longer be nipping at your heals begging for your attention and causing you all kinds of unnecessary pain and suffering.
