Thoughts over Morning Coffee - August 19, 2012

.
When I am drinking 'morning coffee,' sitting in front of my computer, the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' (a spark of which lives inside each of us) begins talking to me about life.  As this 'intelligence' chats with me, I jot down what it says to me so later on I can read and reflect on the messages of guidance and advice passed on to me.  If what I receive in my morning chats with this 'intelligence' benefits you too, it is icing on the cake. - Frederick Zappone

---------------------------------------------------------------
All people really want is to be happy but they have been lied to, duped and conned out of their happiness. They have been convinced that being happy is not their natural state of mind.

Do you remember, you were born into this world happy. You were a happy baby and then, as you grew up, the authority figures in your life beat the happiness out of you by making you do what they wanted you to do rather than what you wanted to do. They convinced you that what they wanted you to do was for your own good, convincing you that what you wanted to do for yourself was wrong, bad or evil.

Once they made you sufficiently unhappy they enumerated all the ways you could be happy.  By this time happiness was no longer your natural state, unhappiness was and to be happy again you had to earn it.

To earn it, you had to have the right job, make the right amount of money, marry the right person, drive the right car, live in the right house, belong to the right religion.... And as hard as you tried to do what others said would make you happy, the unhappier you became.

You became an unhappy person because you didn't like having to earn your happiness because the moment you got something that made you happy, after a couple of weeks it no longer made you happy and you had to start chasing something else to make you happy again...

Happiness can be yours now without you having to earn it. To be happy now, all you have to do is be grateful for what you have because until you are grateful for what you have, you cannot have what you truly want, no matter how hard you work.... What are you sincerely grateful for, right now? Begin making your list and watch thoughts of happiness flood your mind. And from your natural happy state of mind you will attract more good thing into your life to be grateful for.  That's how my law of gratitude works.

If you doubt my words about gratitude, ask yourself this question: How do you feel when people aren't grateful for the things you do for them?  That's how I feel when you are not grateful for the life I have given you.  The more you are ungrateful for the life you have, the less I want to give you. However, the moment you become grateful for what you have now, I immediately begin working behind the scenes of your life, orchestrating people and events in your favor so you can have the life you want.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS FROM THE ORGANIZING INTELLIGENCE OF THE UNIVERSE

--------------------------------------------------------------------
As long as you make unhappy thoughts and feelings your enemy, you will attract more thoughts and feelings that make you unhappy. In fact, making enemies out of anything tells me you are focused on what you don't want instead of what you do want.  It tells me you believe in the power of the negative more than you believe in the power of the positive.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Why focus on anything that makes you unhappy unless you falsely believe it is the unhappy thing that is stopping you from having what you want.  Ironically it is but it is you who placed the unhappy thing between you and what you want, it is you who have created the unhappy thing with your thoughts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The quickest way to make enemies of your own thoughts is the 'I Think, They Think' thinking.  In other words, you think that other people are thinking certain negative thoughts about you but it is YOU thinking those thoughts. However, since you are convinced they are not your negative thoughts but someone elses, those negative thoughts own you and run your life in a way not to your liking.

Life not working as well as you would like. Use the OMT, I do.

.
The 'organizing intelligence of the universe' gave me the OMT.  The OMT is short for the 'One Magnificent Thought'. I use the OMT every single day of my life. In the beginning, I had doubts about the power of the OMT but I persisted in using it and at some point the OMT took root in my subconscious mind.

Once it took root in my subconscious mind, that thought became an automatic habit of thought. From that point on, my life got better and better and easier and easier for me with no struggle or effort on my part required. To improve my life with no effort at all, I just had to use the OMT as the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' instructed me to use it.

Over a period of time, the use of the OMT made me feel extremely happy on the inside for no logical reason I could explain.  Once I started feel amazingly good on the inside, despite the existing negative circumstances in my life at that time, I began attracting incredible people and amazing events into my life that changed the circumstances of my life from not great to astonishing.

Using the OMT resulted in me to come up with an inspiring signature line for my emails which is:

Let Life AMAZE you, I do.

Eleven Insights Over Morning Coffee

The first thing I do every morning is sit down and drink my coffee. As I am drinking my coffee, I open myself up to receive whatever thoughts are waiting outside the doorway of mind that want to make themselves known to me. The following thoughts showed up this morning and I felt inspired to share them with you.

Where the thoughts come from, I am not sure. Some people say from God, I say from the organizing intelligence of the universe. Regardless of where they come from, they are filled with insights and wisdom that not only make my day, they make my life...

ELEVEN INSIGHTS OUT OF THE BLUE

1. You lose some of your power every time you allow an 'expert' outside yourself to 'label you' as strange or different in some way.

2. When you believe the negative things people say about you, they then have power over you.

3. Always be vigilant of people who make money off of your problems.

4. If you don't take care of yourself other people will in ways that you won't like.

5. "You will find your greatest joy in life being what you want to be and not what other people want you to be." For myself, my greatest joy is being crazy like a fox. :)

6. The greatest sin in the world is doubting yourself.

7. People will deliberately get you upset to gain control over you. Walk away from them.

8. Before 'reacting' to a situation, PAUSE....and then 'respond' to the situation, that puts you in control

9. Chances are if you are feeling anxious or depressed that means you are believing things about yourself that are simply not true.

10. When you are 'different,' parents label you, teachers label you, friends label you, doctors label you, preachers label you. Watch out for the labels.

11. The disease of the mind is fear and if left unchecked, it makes the body sick too.

An Awesome Love Story

LETTER IN THE WALLET - AN AMAZING LOVE STORY

A Man' search for the writer of a 60 year old message leads him on an extraordinary journey

As I walked home one freezing day, I stumbled on a wallet someone had lost in the street. I picked it up and looked inside to find some identification so I could call the owner. But the wallet contained only three dollars and a crumpled letter that looked as if it had been in there for years. The envelope was worn and the only thing that was legible on it was the return address. I started to open the letter, hoping to find some clue. Then I saw the dateline — 1924. The letter had been written almost sixty years ago.

It was written in a beautiful feminine handwriting on powder blue stationery with a little flower in the left-hand corner. It was a "Dear John" letter that told the recipient, whose name appeared to be Michael, that the writer could not see him any more because her mother forbade it. Even so, she wrote that she would always love him. It was signed, Hannah.

It was a beautiful letter, but there was no way except for the name Michael, that the owner could be identified. Maybe if I called information, the operator could find a phone listing for the address on the envelope. "Operator," I began, "this is an unusual request. I'm trying to find the owner of a wallet that I found. Is there anyway you can tell me if there is a phone number for an address that was on an envelope in the wallet?" She suggested I speak with her supervisor, who hesitated for a moment then said, "Well, there is a phone listing at that address, but I can't give you the number." She said, as a courtesy, she would call that number, explain my story and would ask them if they wanted her to connect me. I waited a few minutes and then she was back on the line. "I have a party who will speak with you." I asked the woman on the other end of the line if she knew anyone by the name of Hannah. She gasped, "Oh! We bought this house from a family who had a daughter named Hannah. But that was 30 years ago!"

"Would you know where that family could be located now?" I asked. "I remember that Hannah had to place her mother in a nursing home some years ago," the woman said. "Maybe if you got in touch with them they might be able to track down the daughter." She gave me the name of the nursing home and I called the number. They told me the old lady had passed away some years ago but they did have a phone number for where they thought the daughter might be living. I thanked them and phoned. The woman who answered explained that Hannah herself was now living in a nursing home.

This whole thing was stupid, I thought to myself. Why was I making such a big deal over finding the owner of a wallet that had only three dollars and a letter that was almost 60 years old? Nevertheless, I called the nursing home in which Hannah was supposed to be living and the man who answered the phone told me, "Yes, Hannah is staying with us." Even though it was already 10 p.m., I asked if I could come by to see her. "Well," he said hesitatingly, "if you want to take a chance, she might be in the day room watching television." I thanked him and drove over to the nursing home. The night nurse and a guard greeted me at the door. We went up to the third floor of the large building. In the day room, the nurse introduced me to Hannah.

She was a sweet, silver-haired old timer with a warm smile and a twinkle in her eye. I told her about finding the wallet and showed her the letter. The second she saw the powder blue envelope with that little flower on the left, she took a deep breath and said, "Young man, this letter was the last contact I ever had with Michael." She looked away for a moment deep in thought and then said Softly, "I loved him very much. But I was only 16 at the time and my mother felt I was too young. Oh, he was so handsome. He looked like Sean Connery, the actor. Yes," she continued. "Michael Goldstein was a wonderful person. If you should find him, tell him I think of him often. And," she hesitated for a moment, almost biting her lip, "tell him I still love him. You know," she said smiling as tears began to well up in her eyes, "I never did marry. I guess no one ever matched up to Michael..."

I thanked Hannah and said good-bye. I took the elevator to the first floor and as I stood by the door, the guard there asked, "Was the old lady able to help you?" I told him she had given me a lead. "At least I have a last name. But I think I'll let it go for a while. I spent almost the whole day trying to find the owner of this wallet." I had taken out the wallet, which was a simple brown leather case with red lacing on the side. When the guard saw it, he said, "Hey, wait a minute! That's Mr. Goldstein's wallet. I'd know it anywhere with that bright red lacing. He's always losing that wallet. I must have found it in the halls at least three times." "Who's Mr. Goldstein?" I asked as my hand began to shake. "He's one of the old timers on the 8th floor. That's Mike Goldstein's wallet for sure. He must have lost it on one of his walks."

I thanked the guard and quickly ran back to the nurse's office. I told her what the guard had said. We went back to the elevator and got on. I prayed that Mr. Goldstein would be up. On the eighth floor, the floor nurse said, "I think he's still in the day room. He likes to read at night. He's a darling old man." We went to the only room that had any lights on and there was a man reading a book. The nurse went over to him and asked if he had lost his wallet, "This kind gentleman found a wallet and we wondered if it could be yours?" Mr. Goldstein looked up with surprise, put his hand in his back pocket and said, "Oh, it is missing!" I handed Mr. Goldstein the wallet and the second he saw it, he smiled with relief and said, "Yes, that's it! It must have dropped out of my pocket this afternoon. I want to give you a reward." "No, thank you," I said. "But I have to tell you something. I read the letter in the hope of finding out who owned the wallet." The smile on his face suddenly disappeared. "You read that letter?"

"Not only did I read it, I think I know where Hannah is." He suddenly grew pale. "Hannah? You know where she is? How is she? Is she still as pretty as she was? Please, please tell me," he begged. "She's fine...just as pretty as when you knew her." I said softly. The old man smiled with anticipation and asked, "Could you tell me where she is? I want to call her tomorrow." He grabbed my hand and said, "You know something, mister, I was so in love with that girl that when that letter came, my life literally ended. I never married. I guess I've always loved her. "

"Mr. Goldstein," I said, "come with me." We took the elevator down to the third floor. The hallways were darkened and only one or two little night-lights lit our way to the day room where Hannah was sitting alone watching the television. The nurse walked over to her. "Hannah," she said softly, pointing to Michael, who was waiting with me in the doorway. "Do you know this man?" She adjusted her glasses, looked for a moment, but didn't say a word. Michael said softly, almost in a whisper, "Hannah, it's Michael. Do you remember me?" She gasped, "Michael! I don't believe it! Michael! It's you! My Michael!" He walked slowly towards her and they embraced. The nurse and I left with tears streaming down our faces.

About three weeks later I got a call at my office from the nursing home. "Can you break away on Sunday to attend a wedding? Michael and Hannah are going to tie the knot!" It was a beautiful wedding with all the people at the nursing home dressed up to join in the celebration. Hannah wore a light beige dress and looked beautiful. Michael wore a dark blue suit and stood tall. They made me their best man. The hospital gave them their own room and if you ever wanted to see a 76-year-old bride and a 79-year-old groom acting like two teenagers, you had to see this couple. A perfect ending for a love affair that had lasted nearly 60 years.

Creative Minds

.
You can't force creative ideas out of yourself. you must set your intention to have creative ideas flow through you and then allow them to flow into your mind from the organizing intelligence of the universe and they will.

Are you Defying the Law?

.
I have said this before and I will say it again, the truth is not always pretty, sometimes it can be downright ugly. This could be one of those times for you. No sane person would ever think of defying the law of gravity by jumping off a  sixty story building without a parachute. Would you?

Probably not, and yet sane people I know defy the law of attraction everyday and wonder why life never gets better for them. Are you one of those people?  Regarding the law of attraction, you cannot, repeated for emphasis, cannot attract anything good to yourself by feeling bad. In fact, the worse you feel, the more desperate your circumstances will become and the more bad things you will attract to yourself. This is not superstitious thinking, this is how the law of attraction work.

I know far too many people who believe 'feeling bad' will get them something and sometimes it does in a 'crippling and disabling' sort of way. Sometimes 'feeling bad' gets people sympathy, pity, charity, even compassion. However, feeling bad will never gets them the true love,  financial prosperity or the experience of their own 'authentic power' they want. Only thoughts that 'feel good' will attract those things to them because that is how the law of attraction works.

Good Fortune

.
It is true that what you want in life must come to you through the hands of other people. However, it is the organizing intelligence of the universe who decides specifically through which hands your good fortune will come to you.

Organizing Intelligence of the Universe.

.
What do you call a God larger than all of our conflicting and competing beliefs about God?  I don't know what you call a God that large but I call him the organizing intelligence of the universe.  Regardless of your religious beliefs (Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Protestants, Atheist), I think you will enjoy this video because I believe that the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' that I call God  speaks to all of us in this video in an universal way and in a very warm and human way. After watching it, let me know what you think by posting a comment below. You can post your comment anonymously, if you wish. - Frederick Zappone, Encouraging WORDS Blog.

Changing Reality

.
Quantum physics has proven that reality is not set in concrete, it is fluid, ever changing depending upon the thoughts we think. You would be amazed at the number of electronic devices that fix themselves for me when I turn my electronic problem
over to the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' to fix it for me.

Connecting to your SOURCE

,
Surrender is a lifesaver. I'm not talking about surrender as in defeat. I'm talking about surrender as in giving UP my problems to the higher part of my personality where my connection to the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' lives. When I surrender my problems, truly surrender them, as in turning over my problems to my higher power, my mind is instantly illuminated with solutions and answers to my problems I never thought about before.

Surrender is letting go of any secret fears you have so the 'organizing intelligence of the universe' can begin working behind the scenes of your life. Once you let go, this 'intelligence' will begin orchestrating events in your favor so the outcome you were afraid wasn't going to happen, happens.

Who's in Charge here?

There's a big difference between being in control of your life versus being in charge of it. Control imprisons you while being in charge sets you free to be all you can be. When we give up control, we are giving UP our control to the organizing intelligence of the universe that many people call God. When we do that, we have taken the first step in developing a real partnership with the universe so we can attract to ourselves all the good things we want and more... Our job is to know what we want and the organizing intelligence of the universe will either guide us to what we want ot bring it to us. It's how the law of attraction works. This law was created for us by the God of the Universe so we could have control over all the things in our life, not just some of them. When we try to control things on our own without being in partnership with the organizing intelligence of the universe, we have limited control. However, when we are in partnership with the organizing intelligence of the universe and have respect for how the law of attraction works, we have infinite control.
