The Mental Illness Called Self-Doubt (The CURE)

There are a lot of conditions defined as mental illness but the worst of these is SELF DOUBT...  It is absolutely the worst. Doubt slays our best thoughts. Doubt splits our mind in two and puts us into conflict with ourselves and then with others..

If  doubt is not resolved quickly, it leads to all kinds of undesirable behavior such as becoming obsessive or compulsive, manic or depressed or developing an ADD type personality or becoming addicted to foods, booze or pills as a way to squash the pain caused by doubt.

If there is such a thing as a devil, his real name is Doubt.

THE CURE:

If you leave your doubts alone, they will leave you alone. However caution and vigiliance is called for here.  Doubt is the great tempter and it will do whatever it can to make you doubt yourself, your mental health or your decisions. If your doubts aren't throwing you into conflict with yourself, causing you unnecessary pain and suffering, the doubts of others will.

If you don't believe doubt is your worst enemy and the root cause of mental illness, watch how many times your doubts betray you....

God is....

God is infinite, all knowing, all powerful, unlimited.  God is LOVE.   When you are feeling love, you are feeling the presence of God. When you feel the love, you have access to the powers God has and you can create anything you want for the benefit of the highest good of all concerned and all will benefit from the good you create coming from feelings of God's love for you.

It is not possible to know God intellectually because the mind can only know things in the 'visible form' while the presence of God (love) is FELT. The more intense you feel the love, the more you are one with God. Actions taken from feeling God's love ALIVE in you result in good things happening to people without limits or conditions.

Tim Tebow, Will he RISE from the ASHES?

TIM TEBOW.... From HERO TO GOAT....

Nothing changed about Tim Tebow, he is still the kind, compassionate, loving man he has always been. What has changed are the people who have used and abused Tebow for their own selfish reasons.  Is he a bad football player or a good one?  Is he a hero or the goat? In Denver, they thought he could walk on water and he did but that wasn't good enough for the owners of the Bronco's, so they traded him to the Jet who used and abused him for their own misguided and selfish ends.

Why is Tebow so controversial?

Why do people love or hate Tim Tebow? What is he really guilty of?   He is guilty of one thing, BE-ING HIMSELF...  He is guilty of being true to himself and not allowing the critics, trying to mess with his head, stop him from being himself and for that reason alone, I give Tim Tebow, the man, a standing ovation

I give Tebow credit for  being able to handle his 'football' situation  with dignity and grace. If he blew his stack and told all of his critics and naysayers to go to hell, I wouldn't blame him at all.

What will happen to Tebow, the football player?  I don't know, only time will tell. What will happen to Tebow, the man?  I believe he will become more of a man and become a stronger, better and a more compassionate man than before, if that is possible.

There is no doubt that he has been going through the greatest test his faith has ever had.  And I for one, am rooting for him to pass his test with flying colors because we need more Tebow's in the world and less Rappers who use their 'music' to spew profanity, hatred and violence to young people everywhere.

Releasing RESENTMENT Through Honest Self-Talk

Any negative feeling we cannot talk about, any feeling we believe we
cannot experience increases in strength and power over us until we learn to love
it to death. Excerpted from  LOVING Hatred to Death ENDS Hatred (Article)

HERE IS EXAMPLE OF MY OWN HONEST SELF-TALK

I have been writing this blog full time for seven years..  I am now approaching 400,000 pageviews which means thousands of people have visited my blog and read many of my original inspirational articles.  In spite of my best writing efforts, in spite of giving people my very best, the number of people who have left comments or made a small donation in support of the time and energy it takes to write my articles and make them available to people, free of charge, has been next to nothing.

The last donation I received was a $5.00 donation. I received that donation over two months ago. You would think with close to 1,000 pageviews a day, I would get at least one kind comment or one small donation a day but that rarely happens.

What has happened because my inspirational writings have gone largely unappreciated is that without being fully conscious about it I have developed tremendous resentment toward people who read my articles and give me nothing back in return.   It is not their fault, it is my fault.  It is my fault believing that if I gave people my best efforts, free of charge, my efforts would be rewarded by people who were grateful for the insights and wisdom I freely share with them. The reason I am publicly apologizing for my resentment is not so much for your benefit as it is for mine.

I want to be able to continue to write and post inspirational articles on this blog but I DO NOT, I repeat, I DO NOT want to continue to feel resentful because I attract people who either cannot afford to support my writings with a small donation or who do not appreciate the time and effort it takes to freely give away to others  the wisdom I've learned that has made life easier for me.

I certainly do not want to continue to feel resentful towards the ungrateful people I attract to my blog because feeling resentment does not feel good to me and goes against the work I am currently doing with myself which is to love myself unconditionally, no matter what.

As hurtful as it has been to not receive the appreciation and donations I expected to receive, I learned a HUGE, HUGE lesson and it is this:

EXPECTATIONS HAVE ZERO VALUE EXCEPT TO CAUSE UPSET...

This cartoon courtesy of Mini and Eunice  In return for its use, out of  gratitude and appreciation, I gave them a $10.00 donation

LOVING Hatred to Death ENDS Hatred (Article)

Any chronic (nagging) negative feeling living in my body for a prolong period of time is ALERTING me to the fact I am feeling hatred.   Where do those feelings of hatred come from?  They come from feelings I had originally during my growing up years that I was taught to deny, squash or suppress.

The  GREATEST disservice we do towards our children is making them deny or squash their negative feelings rather than allowing them to FEEL WHAT THEY FEEL.

It is only through allowing our children to feel what they feel and then talking about it that they can learn why they feel the way they do. Allowing children to openly and safely talk about their negative feelings makes it possible for them them replace those negative feelings with feelings that make them feel good about themselves.

The more you squash negative feelings, the more negative you will feel because negative feelings buried alive never die. Instead they turn into feelings of self-hatred that eventually manifest themselves in our body as physical disease in worst case situations or unexplained aches and pain in best case situations.

Without giving ourselves permission to feel hatred consciously and allowing it to harmlessly pass out of our body and mind, we will feel it unconsciously. Once felt unconsciously, we either suffer silently with our suppressed feelings of hatred or we lash out with unhealthy expressions of hatred towards others which increases the hatred in the world.

Knowing all negative feelings are rooted in some form of hatred, my job is to allow the thoughts associated with my unconscious feelings of hatred to come up into my conscious mind where I can see them for what they are and replace them with thoughts that make me feel good about myself.

AUTHOR NOTE:

"That which you cannot love will eventually turn into hate."

My greatest truth, my most pressing truth lives in the negative feelings I resist or dislike. I feel negative for a reason and it never has to do with other people or circumstances. Feeling negative, ultimately, has to do with how I feel about myself. It is these negative feelings that contain what is true for me. They carry benevolent messages and guidance and advice if I will but allow the thoughts associated with the negative feelings to fully enter my mind. Blaming other people or circumstances for feeling negative only robs me of my power and prevents me from discovering my truth contained in my negative feelings. The overriding message at the bottom of my negative feelings is that I do not love myself enough. Knowing that, I focus on those things that will allow me to love myself more.

Living the LIFE you want ( The INTENDED LIFE)

Intention is everything.

Your life, the good and bad of it, gets created by your intention.

An intention is a thought.

Intention is an act or instance of determining mentally upon the result you want

Everything is creasted twice, first mentally, then physically.

To make intentions come true, only take those actions in regards to your intention that feel good to you. Any actions taken to make your intention come true that don't feel good to you will result in your intention not coming true, there are no exceptions to this rule.. - Frederick Zappone, INSPIRED LIVING

Loving Myself Unconditionally (Including all of my body parts)

.
This is one of the most ingenious little books I have ever read.  It is about loving every part of your body by talking to it. What an absurd idea and yet with all the case histories in her book, there must be something to this crazy idea. What is astounding is not only the incredible results the author had had in her own life talking to her body but the incredible results her students have had.  She has been teaching this method of getting what you want out of life, by loving yourself unconditionally by talking to your body, for over 20 years.. I figure $2.99 was a cheap price to find out what the author knew about love that I didn't know.

How GREAT are you? Here is the definitive answer

.
I wonder if it has occurred to anyone who has listened to 'How Great Thou Art' that how great thou art also applies to us too. God made us in his image and likeness and when we think about how great God is, since we are made in his image and likeness, it only follows we are great too.  The truth is, when we belittle our greatest, we belittle the greatness of the one who made us.- Frederick Zappone

Things I 'WILL NOT' do for Money...... (I will not manipulate you out of money)..

.

Charities use a variety of  'hard luck' stories to tug at your heart strings as a way to manipulate you into donating money to their cause. I refuse to do that. Yes, I need money too but I refuse to manipulate you out of it by telling you a 'hard luck story or by making you feel sorry for me.

I know having a 'dramatic hard luck story' causes people to donate money like crazy. I  do want your donations but no matter how desperate I might get for money, I will never desperately ask you for money.

I don't want you to donate money in support of my 'writing' up on the Inspired Living Blog because I, somehow, emotionally manipulate money out of you. Instead, I want your donations in exchange for the genuine 'inspirational' value you received from my writings.

If I can't make you feel good, if I cannot inspire you enough to donate money in support of my inspired writing,  then I don't want your money at all. Why?  Because I don't believe in taking money from people who donate money to me because they feel sorry for my financial plight or because they feel they should donate to me out of some twisted sense of guilt, duty or obligation. I want people donating money to me because they love my writings and love the way I inspire and encourage people, world-wide, free of charge,  with my writings.

If you are a first time visitor,  read some of my inspiring articles  posted on this blog and if you find genuine value in what I share with you in my writings. If my writing inspire and encourage you, then please come back and leave a donation in support of the work I do on this blog.  - Frederick Zappone

AUTHOR NOTE:This is my full-time job and I have been doing this job for 5 years without a paycheck. Why five years without a paycheck? Because I believe the good I do on this blog will eventually be rewarded from sources unexpected, ueunexpectedly. You see I have faith in more rather than less. As a result, I know if I keep giving people my very best, if I keep inspiring people above all the rest, my good works will be rewarded.

Peace of Mind Prayer By Frederick Zappone

PEACE OF MIND PRAYER

I give up God, not as in defeat but as in giving UP to you all thoughts and feelings that rob me of my happiness and peace of mind. I give UP to you what worries and troubles me. I give UP to you my greatest fears and my most cherished dreams. I give UP to you all thoughts and feelings that live in opposition to what I want out of life. I give UP my need to know where my next dollar is coming from.  In giving UP to you what troubles me, I have faith you will turn what troubles me into something good for me. AMEN - Frederick Zappone
.

Only GOOD comes from my ANGER...

.

ANGER HAS GOTTEN A BAD RAP...

Have you ever been so angry that you wanted to kill someone?  Have you ever been so angry that you wanted to strangle the shit out of someone?

Everything you read about anger is negative. No one has anything good to say about anger and yet anger is not the problem nor does it cause problems.  It is the denial of anger that is the problem. Anger denied turns into toxic poison that rots out the soul. Anger felt but denied is a person lying to themselves about something that hurt, upset or disappointed them.  Anger felt but not expressed, in constructive and healthy ways, turns inwards and causes disease.

Have you ever been angry?

Anger is an ALERT SIGNAL that your sense of justice has been violated.

Anger means you are doing something right for the wrong reason.

Anger means that you are doing things you really do not want to do..

Anger means you are waking up to your TRUTH...

Anger means you are beginning to value yourself as much as you value other people.

Anger means you are no longer going to be other people's doormat.

Anger means your passion to take better care of yourself is knocking at the doorway of your heart.

Anger means you are beginning to see that being selfish is not selfish but SELF-LOVE.

Anger means lots of things, what does being angry mean to you?

Have you ever said the following things to yourself:

I am angry at people judging me. I am angry at people trying to tear me down. I am angry at people acting better than me. I am angry at people judging and criticizing me. I am angry at people taking from me and never giving me anything in return.  I am angry at people who benefits from my time and/or knowledge and give me nothing in return. I am angry and I don't care who knows it.... I am angry at being stupid enough to believe I can make a difference in the lives of other people. I am angry at people who upset me.

At one time, I was so angry I could kill but did I?  No.  Will I? No. Why not?

Because when I feel anger, I express it out of myself by writing what I am angry about as a way of letting go of my anger. All anger ever wants from us is to be expressed. When expressed in healthy ways, we are rewarded with feelings of love. When expressed in unhealthy ways we are rewarded with punishment.

ANGER IS AN ALERT SIGNAL.... What is your anger alerting you to?

Dying to be Me: I will BUY this book for you, if you cannot afford it.

Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing By Anita Moorjani

After reading Anita’s book, my 95 year old mother said that a wave of peace overtook her and replaced the fear, anxiety, and stress of what the great unknown brings. In fact, everyone who read of Anita’s 'near death' experience, including my children, felt that they had a new lease on life and vowed to me to always, above all else, love themselves, to treasure their magnificence, and to banish all potential disease-producing thoughts from their daily lives. While I’d been writing about these ideas, Anita had brought it all home in the world of experience. - Wayne Dyer

In this truly inspirational memoir,Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body-overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system-began shutting down. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her inherent worth . . . and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was able to be released from the hospital within weeks . . . without a trace of cancer in her body! Within these pages, Anita recounts stories of her childhood in Hong Kong, her challenge to establish her career and find true love, as well as how she eventually ended up in that hospital bed where she defied all medical knowledge. As part of a traditional Hindu family residing in a largely Chinese and British society, she had been pushed and pulled by cultural and religious customs since she had been a little girl. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else's expectations, she had the realization, as a result of her epiphany on the other side, that she had the power to heal herself . . . and that there are miracles in the Universe that she had never even imagined. In Dying to Be Me, Anita freely shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, "being love," and the true magnificence of each and every human being! This is a book that definitely makes the case that we are spiritual beings having a human experience . . . and that we are all One!

If you want this book and truly cannot afford it, I will buy it for you.

Your Truth (Not Someone else's) Will Set You FREE

.

When something isn't working in people's lives, what most people do, out of pride, is deny that it isn't working. For example, no matter what you do, you cannot maintain a lasting, love relationship that works for you. Here is the problem, denying what is true for you keeps you living a lie and stops you from having what you want.  On the other hand, when you admit something isn't working that removes the lies from you life and sets you free to create what will be rather than repeating your past over and over again.

Lying to ourselves 'blinds us' to the things we're doing wrong that stop us from having what we want.

Q: How can I telling if I am lying to myself?

A: If you feel heavy, darker, somber or depressed, you are lying to yourself. If you are taking life too seriously, you are lying to yourself. If things aren't working out for you, If life is a struggle, if you feel powerless or ineffective in getting what you want out of life, you are lying to yourself.

Q:  How do I know when I am telling myself 'my truth'.

A: When you are telling 'your truth' to yourself, you feel lighter and brighter. Telling 'your truth' to yourself makes you feel happier and more carefree.  Telling your truth to yourself makes you feel peaceful and content with yourself, happy to be ALIVE

Here is the thing about your truth, it can be ugly as sin but if you are being honest with yourself, you will feel relieved, you will feel better about yourself.  It takes a lot of energy to deny our truth and when we come out of denial, we automatically feel lighter and brighter.

AN EXAMPLE - MY TRUTH

I was denying my fear that my free inspirational writings would never be good enough to cause people to donate money in support of them. That was my greatest fear and because I denied my 'negative' truth to myself, my fear had been, unwittingly, pushing people away from donating money to me in return for the value they receive from my writings.

In owning up to my truth that I did not know how to get people to support my writings with donations, I surrendered or gave up all thoughts and feeling that lived in opposition to what I wanted. In giving up the 'thoughts and feelings' I was denying, I made room for people to donate in support of my writings whenever they felt inspired to do so.

Another truth of mine that I denied was my anger. I was an angry person for years but didn't know it because I was in denial of it. The by-product of denying my anger was depression. Once I started telling myself, my ugly truth, about how angry I was and what I was angry about, my depression went POOF and I have felt lighter and brighter ever since.

Living a VICTORIOUS Life....

.
My first child, a son, died unexpectedly when he was 18 months old. My daughter died due to medical negligence and left four little girls behind, age 8 to 1 1/2 years old. I have been divorced twice, bankrupt twice. My life was a tragedy and from the pain and grief of my tragic life, I found my life purpose. Inspiring others to rise above adversity, like I have, so they can experience themselves as the MAGNIFICENT, POWERFUL, LOVABLE to the core human beings they truly are. I do that through this blog. This is my full-time job and I have been doing this job for 5 years without a paycheck. Why five years without a paycheck? Because I believe the good I do on this blog will eventually be rewarded from sources unexpected, ueunexpectedlyYou see I have faith in more rather than less. INTENTIONS:   Everything you want out of life comes from your intentions. Clear intentions produces clear results. How much money do you want? What are the specific qualities you are looking for in a partner? Intentions come true when they are specific.  For myself, I don't have to take any action in particular for good things to happen in my life, I just have to INTEND for them to happen and from my intentions comes spontaneously thoughts and actions that make my intentions come true.

RESULTS: What I think and feel in my inner world always come true in my outer world.  Abundance or scarcity of anything in my life (money, love, excellent health, harmonious relationships) is always a result of what I think and feel on the inside of me. There are no exceptions to the law of thought and feelings.

DISCOURAGEMENT:  Discouragement means you are thinking thoughts and taking actions that don't work for you.  Discouragement is an ALERT SIGNAL that you are going against your personal values, being untrue to yourself. Discouragment is a sign that you are seeking other people's approval of you rather than self approval. Discouragement is a sign that your FAITH is misplaced, It indicates your have faith in less rather than more. As a result, you see life rewarding you with less, while rewarding other people with more.

CREATING YOUR LIFE: Everything in life is created twice, first mentally, then physically. There are no exceptions to this law. What you see in your visible world is a result of the thoughts you think in your inner world. Don't like when you see in your outer world, change the thoughts you think in your inner world.

OBSTACLES: The 'wind and water' never resist obstacles, they go up, over, under or around them. When an obstacle or roadblock is between you and what you want, become like the 'wind and water' and flow up, over, around or under what is between you and what you want. It works for me.

DREAMS: Two very different attitudes about making your dreams come true. Attitude #1 - Every time your dream hits an obstacle, you can reduce the size of your dream and eventually your dream will become so small, it will disappear from your mind and never come true at all.   Attitude #2 - Every time your dream hits an obstacle, you can increase the size of your dream. You can make it larger and larger until it is so large that nothing or no one in the universe can stop your dream from coming true. That's what Bill Gates did, that's what Steve Jobs did.  If it worked for them, it can work for you too.

FEELINGS: Feeling bad only lasts a long time when I try to figure out why I feel bad.  Experience has taught me that the quickest way to STOP feeling bad is to start making other people feel good. In the process of making other people feel good, I end up feeling good too.

WORRY: Worry is FEAR thought and pushes away from us what we want, that's why I rarely give those kinds of thoughts a second thought.

RESISTANCE: No one likes feeling bad. However disliking, resisting, arguing or wrestling with your bad feelings will only prolong those feelings and give those bad feelings more power over you. I use bad feelings as an ALERT SIGNAL to switch focus to thoughts or actions that make me feel good.

The #1 Thought That Causes People's Depression

The #1 Thought That Causes People's Depression is FALSE..

The one thought that depresses people more than all others is the THOUGHT that they are cut off from God (Source Energy), other people, the universe and love...  That is simply not true, However for those people who choose to believe in that thought, it causes the body and every cell in the body to depress itself and start the process of withdrawing from life.

Our connection to Source Energy, other people, the universe and love is what makes us feel great to be ALIVE... But when we lie to ourselves and believe the lie that we are cut off from God, other people, the Universe, and LOVE, we have no choice but to depress ourselves....no choice...

Feeling Sad, Blue, Depressed WOO HOO!!

The good news about feeling sad, blue or depressed when it seems outside your control is that it is in your control. However, there are some things you must know before you can have control over those feelings.

First off, any time you are feeling negative in a way that you seem to have no control over, that is partly true.  That is because what you are experiencing are feelings being produced by thoughts, running on automatic pilot, living in your subconscious mind outside your 'current' conscious control..

The best way to deal with those feelings is to simply FEEL WHAT YOU FEEL....and they will harmlessly pass you by like clouds in the sky.  Resisting, debating, wrestling with or arguing with feelings you do not like will only make them stronger...  Feeling what you feel will make them dissolve naturally...

Excellent 'NEW THOUGHT' Article

Woke up this morning, took off my rose colored glasses and looked at the truth straight in the eye.

I have allowed myself to conned by the positive thinking movement.  I allowed the positive thinking movement to 'trick me' into being 'untrue to myself,' and that turned me into a hypocrite. Let me explain.

When pain (emotional or physical) gets stronger or intensifies that is ALWAYS an Alert Signal that I am being a hypocrite about something.

Here is what I learned about being a hypocrite.

First off, being a hypocrite is not the worst thing in the world. It is only the worst thing when I don't know I am being a hypocrite because it is then I experience the most pain in your life. The short definition of the word hypocrite is a person who pretends. Anytime we think one thing but feel another and don't acknowledge this conflict, we are pretending with ourselves...  (*** See Note Below)

This is where people get themselves into trouble with the positive thinking movement.

What you feel is always the 'truth' of your being, it is the 'current reality' of your inner world, the place inside your physical body where you experience all the pleasure and pain in your life

Any time you repeat positive thoughts over the top of your immediate truth (what you feel) it can cause you to deny or conceal what you truly feel.  This denial of what you truly feel can, over time, cause you so much pain that eventually you will have to have it surgically removed. Why?  Because your pain manifested itself into your physical body as a physical condition requiring surgery. That's the bad news..

The good news is, if you give up positive thinking in favor of living life by your truth (what you feel), life will become MIRACULOUS for you.   For example, when you feel pain of any kind (emotional or physical) if you OBSERVE, WITNESS or WATCH IT, it will go POOF.  And in the process, greater truths will spontaneously enter your mind, out of thin air, that will make 'positive thinking' look like thinking for kindergarteners....

*** NOTE: Thinking one thing and feeling the opposite of what we think creates pain (emotional
or physical) in the body if we don't resolve the difference between what we are thinking and feeling..)

SOMETHING YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOUR BELOVED TEACHERS.

Rhonda Byrnes, The Secret, Esther Hicks, Abraham- Hicks, Wayne Dyer, Joe Vitale,
Louise Hays, Marianne Williamson, (__________) fill in the name of your guru.

Everything your teacher shares with you won't necessarily work for you..... if it is not your truth too. In others words, if you don't truly feel their words. If their words cause you conflict (mental or emotional) of any kind, that is an alert signal that their words are not your truth.

WARNING: Trying to make your teacher's words your truth when they are not your truth will cause you a lot of unnecessary conflict and pain.

Your teachers are successful at what they do because they rarely, if ever, LIE to themselves or pretend with themselves about anything.  There thoughts and feelings live in harmony with one another and that is what has attracted to them the success they have.

Observation: THE NEW THINKING.....

Excerpted from Solving Problems and Creating Things the NEW WAY

The process of  observing, witnessing, watching, looking is where all problems are easily solved, even the most difficult ones.  It is also where all new things are created because the moment you begin using the 'Observation/Looking' process, inspired thoughts, out of thin air, spontaneously, begin showing up in your mind that allow you to create new things and easily solve problems that have been troubling you for quite some time. It doesn't matter whether it is a money, love, relationship or a health problem, the 'observation/looking' process will allow you to solve those problems faster and easier than any other way you can possibly solve your problems  This process of  'observation/looking' is so simple that some people have called this process too good to be true.  However, it is true...
